1. Scope

The specification is applied to 600V grade heat resistant polyvinyl chloride insulated and oil and heat resistant polyvinyl chloride sheathed portable power cables.

2.Type, Conductor size and Adaptation standard

Type, Conductor size and Adaptation standard are described in Table 1.

3. Materials , Construction

3.1 Conductor
The conductor shall be stranded wires composed of annealed copper wires specified in JIS C 3102.

3.2Insulation
The conductor shall be covered with heat resistant polyvinyl chloride, of the nominal thickness shown in Table 2 , as in the shape of a concentric circle.
Average thickness of the insulation shall be not less than 90% of the value shown in Table 2 and minimum thickness at any point shall be not less than 80% of the value shown in Table2.

3.3 Identification of cores
Insulation color is bl ue , and Arabic numerals which indicate conductor number are printed on the surface of insulation b y white ink.

G/Y:Yellow strip e s on the green insulation.
(by the circumference, the covered ratio of Green and Yellow is 60 to 40)

3.4 Assembly of cores
The requi site number of cores shall be assembled to S lay (Left hand) with filler and rolled up with tape if necessary.(Figure 1)

3.5 Sheath
The assembled cores shall be covered with oil and heat resistant polyvinyl chloride, of the nominal thickness shown in Ta ble 2 , as in the shape of a concentric.
Average thickness of the sheath shall be not less than 90% of the value shown in Table 2 and minimum thickness at any point shall be not less than 80% of the value shown in Table 2.
The color of sheath is l ight gray.
